Fertiliser price up by Rs 10 per bag

ISLAMABAD: The price of fertiliser has been increased throughout the country by Rs 10 to the level of Rs 545 per bag.

Market sources told a private TV channel that fertiliser is being sold in major cities at Rs 545 per bag whereas in rural areas at Rs 260 per bag.

Farmers said that in Punjab, dealers with the beginning of rains increased the price of urea by Rs 10 and the farmers are compelled to pay for meeting the immediate post-rain requirements of their crops.

Sources said that the price of fertiliser reached the peak at Rs 560 per bag in Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Rajanpur, Gujrat, Jhelum, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Chakwal, Nausheroferoze, and Thatta.
